LIBRARY PROGRAMS
Birthday Book ClubClick here to print form
The birthday book club is an excellent way to honor your child on their birthday and support the library media center. The student will be able to pick out an age appropriate book from the “birthday cart” and be the first one to check out and read the book. A label will be placed in the front cover of the book including the child’s name, birthday, a short message, and a picture of them holding the book. Participation in the program involves a $25.00 donation per book. The money is used to purchase a book to be kept in the Library Media Center. At the end of each month, the members that had a birthday that month will be invited to a birthday party luncheon in the library media center during their lunch time. The students’ picture will be taken for the local newspapers at this time. Click on the link above to print out a form and return it to the library media center by October 7th along with the donation. Scholastic Book FairEach year our Library Media Center sponsors a Scholastic Book Fair. The community is invited to purchase books, software, games and many other items. Profits from the book fair go towards purchasing more books for the media center.
This year our book fair will be March 6th-10th. Family night will be on Tuesday March 7th from 5:30-7:00, which is also Open House night for FIS. |
